5 Free Photo Sharing Sites For All Your Needs!

Do you have a camera full of photos?  Photos from the vacation that you took with your boyfriend, 2 boyfriends ago, or your mom’s 45th birthday party and now she’s 52? Time to get them off and get them safe.  Here are 5 sites that can help you out.

PICASA
Recommended for People who take and download pictures often.

This software is from the Google guys so you know it’s kick-ass.  It’s software is very easy to install and super easy to use.  Every time you hit the picassa icon it searches your computer for new photos.  The interface is cumbersome and scary.  If you are only going to do this once a month then it’s not worth learning how to use it, if you are a frequent user then you will be glad you invested the time.

KODAK
Very easy to use.  The online slide show is the most popular function.  It allows you to add a group of friends.  They are notified when you have photos ready for them to view.  Simple to use, perfect for grandma and grand pa.

FLICKR
Flickr is from the guys at Yahoo.  It’s been around for awhile and has been integrated nicely with facebook and twitter.  It’s also a good source for browsing photos of others, for that reason make sure you keep your private photos private!

PHOTOBUCKET
Photo bucket is as integrated as flckr but offers unlimited storage.  That’s right, you can dump as many pictures as you want.  Yes you can go crazy on the amount of photos, but you are capped at the size of each photo.  No one pic can be over 5 megabytes.

Trust me, take advantage of one of these services now while you are thinking about it.  Cameras get lost and laptops get viruses.  All of those memories can be gone in just the blink of an eye.  Then you will be here posting in our Rant section, and I will be telling you that “I told you so”.  GO!  DO IT NOW!!
